Bull's Bridge Golf Club will once again host the Tournament of Champions. This event brings together club champions, senior club champions, and CSGA champions from almost every CSGA member club. With the expansion of the Siderowf (senior) division this field has never been better.
Last year, Brent Dietz of Cedar Knob Golf Club fired a 3-under par 69 at Bull’s Bridge to claim the overall title in the CSGA Tournament of Champions. In the Siderowf Division of senior champions, Glastonbury Hill’s Bob Spaniotis fired a one-under par 71 for a three shot victory over Bill Torza (Timberlin) and David Czaplicki (Hamden Marketing) who each shot 74.
The event will be open to any past CSGA champion of any individual event and past champions of CSGA member club championship regardless of their current club affiliation.
Amateur golfers only:
18-hole stroke play championship. All players will play 18 holes on Wednesdya, September 4th. The lowest 18 hole total will be declared the champion. In the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole playoff will begin immediately following conclusion of all rounds.
All players will be entered into a division based on their date of birth. Players must be fifty-five years of age or older as of June 11, 2013 to be eligible for the Siderowf Division. A player may qualify for the event as a Senior Club Champion but be forced to participate in the Tettelbach Division. A Senior Club Champion wishing to participate in the Tettelbach Division must notify the CSGA by June 6th. Players will not be allowed to change their divisions on the day of the event.
Carts are mandatory and included in the entry fee.
