The Julius Boros Challenge Cup is an annual gathering of the state’s top amateur and professional golfers, which showcases Connecticut PGA Section Professionals against amateurs from the Connecticut State Golf Association in a match play format. The Challenge Cup was founded in 1972 in memory of Julius Boros, a bona-fide Connecticut resident and World Golf Hall of Fame inductee.
Players are invited to participate based on their performance in the previous year. The CSGA will utilize the CSGA Player of the Year Points to select the team, in addition to 2 captains picks.
The Connecticut Section PGA will retain the Cup with a total of 31½ points
and the CSGA will regain the Cup with a total of 32 points.
