Davis, McCrery Medal at 8th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying

Kensington, Connecticut (September 26, 2022) – The tandem of Haley Davis and Avery McCrery shot a 5-under 66 to earn medalist honors while Sophie Simon and Alexis Kim finished 4-under to earn the second of two qualifying spots up for grabs at 8th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying.

Final Results

Davis (Ocala, Florida) and McCrery (Wilmington, Delaware) combined for five birdies during their bogey-free round at Shuttle Meadow Country Club. McCrery, the winner of two AJGA events in New York this summer, recorded her birdies on Nos. 5, 9, 11, and 18 while Davis contributed a birdie on the par-4 14th.

The second qualifying spot was earned by Yale teammates Sophie Simon and Alexis Kim. Sophomore’s on the Bulldog roster, Simon and Kim birdied five times and bogeyed just once to earn their spot in the field at The Home Course from May 13-17 in DuPont, Washington.

Sarah Ingram and Valeria Mendizaba finished 1-under to earn the first alternate spot while Catherine McEvoy and Jacqueline Setas beat out two other teams to finish as the second alternate.
