(February 22, 2023) – The Connecticut State Golf Association is excited to announce the schedule for the 2023 One Day Tournament Series presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.
“It’s always a pleasure to partner with the CSGA. They put on great tournaments that draw a very competitive crowd,” Chris Cote said of the continuing partnership. “We are looking forward to seeing the competition unfold for the 2023 season.”
This year the schedule will feature 18 regular season events beginning with the season opening tournament on April 10 at Stonington Country Club. 2023 marks the second consecutive year that Stonington CC will host the season opener.
2023 One Day Tournament Series Schedule
“Building on the momentum from 2022 with over 2,000 rounds played, our 2023 One Day Tournament Series is shaping up to be our most successful season yet,” said Director of Women’s Golf, Competitions and Development Marsha Rupp. “With Chris Cote’s Golf Shop continued commitment as our One Day Tournament Series sponsor and our incredible host clubs providing one-of-a-kind experiences for our players, we are delighted to offer 20 One Day tournaments. The diverse schedule includes 14 regular One Day events and six exclusive competitions: Two Women’s One Day events, two Tettelbach (Under 55), and two Siderowf (Over 55) tournaments.”
April will also include a stop at Wethersfield Country Club on April 17 before the calendar flips to a busy month of May beginning with a visit to the Country Club of Farmington on the first of the month.
2023 Women’s One Day Tournament Series Schedule
Additional tournaments in May include Torrington Country Club (May 8), Indian Hill Country Club (May 16), and Ellington Ridge Country Club (May 30).
The June schedule features two events during the latter half of the month. On June 20 the One Day Tournament Series will pull into Blackhawk Country Club for the first exclusive events of the season with Women and Tettelbach players. A Siderowf Division event at Lake Waramaug Country Club on June 29 will wrap up the month.
On July 6 Tumble Brook Country Club will play host to a regular One Day event before Manchester Country Club hosts the annual four-ball tournament on July 31. In August four events will be contested beginning with Mill River Country Club on August 14. Events at Hunter Golf Club (August 22), Hop Meadow Country Club (August 28), and a Siderowf Division One Day Tournament at Keney Park Golf Course (August 31) follow.
The regular season concludes with a slate of four events in September. Orange Hills Country Club will host on September 5 followed by Shennecossett Golf Course on September 11. On September 18 Portland Golf Course will host the final exclusive event of the year featuring a second Women’s One Day and a Tettelbach Division event. Norwich Golf Course will welcome the final event of the month on September 28.
The 2023 season will conclude with the Al Acker One Day Championship set to be played at the Lake of Isles on October 10. For the first time, the Championship will include top finishers from the Women’s One Day events competing with the men in the Tettelbach and Siderowf divisions.
