Simsbury, Connecticut (July 6, 2021) – The titles at the Simsbury Farms Golf Course One Day were captured by Rammi Hazzaa and Dave Jones. For Hazzaa it was his first One Day Series presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop victory of the season while for Jones it was his fourth.
Playing in the Tettlebach Open Division Hazzaa carded a 1-under 71 to finish two shots ahead of three others. Hazzaa, with three other top-five showings in One Day tournaments this year bogeyed the par-3 fourth but that would be his only dropped shot of the day. He quickly rebounded with birdies on Nos. 6 and 8 before parring his way to the house.
The trio in second place at 1-over included Chris Maxwell, Shawn Hilario, and Chet Hrostek while Kyle Nolin and Evan Kluge shared fifth at 2-over.
In the Siderowf Division Dave Jones put together a level-par 72 scorecard edging out runner-up Bob Murphy (+1) by a shot. Jones signed a scorecard that included three birdies and three bogeys. His final birdie coming on the par-4 17th proved to be the winner.
Kevin Foster, Tom Brett, Michael Byrne, Stuart Goldstein, Tony Susi, and Mike Fitzpatrick all tied for third at 2-over.
Hazzaa and Matthew Calabrese posted 4-under 68 to share Tettlebach Net Division honors with David Kennedy, Mario Argentino, Jason Alexander, and Kluge tied for third with a 2-under tally.
Leading the way in the Siderowf Net Division were Michael Byrne and Peter Czuchra with 3-under 69s with Ed Ligi (-2) in third followed by Michael Condon and Blase Sanzone at 1-under in a tie for fourth.
