Eric Bleile Wins Redding CC One Day

Redding, Connecticut (June 30, 2021) – For the second time this season Eric Bleile has captured a One Day Series presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop event. On a hot and humid day at Redding Country Club Bleile put together a 1-over 72 to earn the victory in the Tettlebach Open Division by one shot over Jason Goshdigian (+2).

Bleile got off to a good start with a birdie on the par-5 third before struggling during the middle portions of his round falling to 3-over following his fourth bogey of his day on the par-3 13th. Looking to add some more birdies to his scorecard Bleile, who reached match play at the Connecticut Amateur earlier in the month, got hot down the stretch with birdies on the 14th and 18th holes to play the closing stretch in 2-under.

Chet Hrostek (+5) was third, David Kennedy (+7) took fourth while Rammi Hazzaa (+9) was fifth.

In the Siderowf Division Bart Weissman fired a 3-over 74 to finish one shot better than Tom Brett and Dick Stevens who tied for second place at 4-over. Weissman started quickly with two birdies in the first six holes to reach 2-under. However, he struggled midway through his round before finding two birdies late on Nos. 14 and 17.

Stuart Goldstein (+5) was fourth while John Higgins and Richard Shildneck shared fifth at 6-over.

Kennedy (E) finished atop the Tettlebach Net Division leaderboard with Hrostek and Bleile tied for second at 1-over, Goshdigian was fourth at 2-over while John Nitz was fifth at 3-over.

John Higgins (-2) won the Siderowf Net Division with Weissman in second at 1-under. Carl Musante and John Odell shared third at 1-over with a group of six sharing fifth at 2-over. The group included Edward Dubord, Rob Nicholas, Brett, Goldstein, Charles Cicchetti, and Mark Vassalotti.
