(February 21, 2021) – The 2021 One Day Tournament Series presented by Chris Cote's Golf Shop will be comprised of 16 events, including the season-ending Al Acker One Day Championship. The Championship Invitational will take place for the 20th consecutive time at Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, in early October.
“Once again, we are extremely pleased to have our corporate partner, Chris Cote's Golf Shop, return as a sponsor of the CSGA One Day Tournament Series,” said Director, Women's Golf & Client Services Marsha Rupp. “Not only is their sponsorship funding integral to the four Player of the Year races within the Tettelbach and Siderowf (senior) gross and net divisions, their enthusiastic support and promotion of the One Day Tournaments to their customers, players of all ages and abilities, is invaluable to the continued growth and development of the series.”
For the third consecutive year and the sixth time in the last eight years, Wethersfield Country Club will host the season-opening tournament, scheduled to be played on Monday, April 5th. The venues in the 2021 series represent a exceptional line-up of some of the best courses in the state, with a variety of fun-filled competition awaiting the players.

The CSGA continues to be a great partner with the common goal of growing the game of golf in Connecticut,” said Chris Cote. “The tournaments the CSGA put on draw a very competitive field. In addition to tournament prizes of merchandise credit at the host clubs, the CSGA will be awarding a One Day Tournament Player of the Year in the Gross and Net categories of the Dick Tettelbach (under-55) Division, and the Dick Siderowf (55 and older) Senior Division. Players will accumulate points based on their finishes in One Day Tournaments throughout the season. A sum of $4,000 in merchandise certificates to Chris Cote's Golf Shop will be awarded to the top three finishers in the One Day Player of the Year Contest in each division category, for a total of twelve winners.
