(January 9, 2022) – Connecticut is well represented throughout college golf. With the spring portion of the schedule set to get underway shortly here is a look at some of the notable performances from the first half of the college golf season.

Coming off their first Big East title since 1994 the Huskies picked up right where they left off. In five events UCONN never finished worse than fifth while also earning a pair of second place finishes at the Doc Gimmler Invitational and UCONN Invitational at GreatHorse.

Quinnipiac Women’s Golf – Link https://gobobcats.com/sports/womens-golf

The defending MAAC conference champions had a strong finish to the fall season. Over the course of the last three events the Bobcats won their own Quinnipiac Classic, then after a fourth place finish at the Sacred Heart Invitational they closed out the fall with a win at the St. John’s Invitational.

Yale Men’s Golfhttps://yalebulldogs.com/sports/mens-golf

Last year Ivy League sports took a hiatus due to the pandemic. This year it felt like the Yale Men’s Golf team was trying to make up for lost time. They kicked off their season at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial and promptly won the event and then won again a few weeks later at their own Macdonald Cup.

Yale Women’s Golf – https://yalebulldogs.com/sports/womens-golf

The Yale Women’s Golf team put together a stellar fall of their own. They won their first event, the Boston College Intercollegiate in late September and then in October finished second at the Yale Invitational.

Eastern Connecticut Men’s Golf – https://gowarriorathletics.com/sports/mens-golf

In their inaugural season last year the Eastern Connecticut Men’s Golf Team won the Little East Conference title. Season number two has been just as good. Throughout the fall they won four-times while also capturing two head-to-head match ups.
