25th Connecticut Women's Open - First Round play is underway - all tee times delayed by 70 minutes

Brett, Davison win Skungamaug River Siderowf Division

Coventry, Connecticut (June 21, 2021) – Scores were low in the first team event of the 2021 One Day Series presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop event of the year. Playing at Skungamaug River Golf Course teams competed in Four-Ball with 21 teams finishing under-par across the Tettelbach and Siderowf Gross Divisions.

In the Tettlebach Gross Division three teams tied for the top spot posting 4-under 66s. Those teams were Chet Hrostek and Jason Goshdigian; Tommy Dorso and John Richardson; Donal Reilly and Jason Longo. Three other teams were one shot behind in a tie for third place – Walter Keuchkerian II and Matthew Spindler-Virgin; Mark and Steve Eells; James and John Abbot.

Leading the way in the Siderowf Gross Division at 3-under 67 were Tom Brett and Peter Davison. The duo combined for five birdies and just two bogeys as they claimed a one-shot victory over five other teams. In a second-place tie following 2-under 68s were the pairings of Dave Jones and Tony Susi; Tom Cutone and Rich Nappi; Paul Reynolds and Michael O’Neill; Tim Stilson and Glen Burr; Terry Ruzzo and Bruce Kraczkowsky.

The top spot in the Tettlebach Net Division was taken by the tandem of Luis Datil and Wallie Feliciano at 7-under. They finished a stroke in front of second-place Tommy Dorso and John Richardson. Third place at 5-under was shared by Hrostek and Goshdigian, Keuchkerian II and Spindler-Virgin, and John O’Toole and George Hayes.

In the Siderowf Net Division three sides posted 8-under to take the title. The group included Dominic Maselli and Scott Marshall, Reynolds and O’Neill, along with Stilson and Burr.
William Tegeler and Michael Healy placed fourth at 7-under while Bill Wininger and Tom Hurd were fifth at 5-under
