(May 1, 2023) – On a difficult day for scoring at the Country Club of Farmington One Day Tournament presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop Shawn Hilario and Bill Hermanson emerged victorious.
Shawn Hilario carded a 2-over 73 to earn a one-shot victory in the Tettelbach Open Division over Patrick Griffin, Eric Bleile, and Will Gregware. Jon Denote finished one shot further back at 4-over in fifth place.
Hilario recorded eight pars and one bogey on the front nine before playing an up-and-down back nine that included two birdies, a double bogey, and a bogey.
In the Siderowf Gross Division Bill Hermanson signed for a 2-over 73 to pick up the victory and continue his impressive early season play. Hermanson, who has finished in the top-3 of every One Day event so far, set the tone for his day with a birdie on the opening par-4 first. It was the first of his three birdies on the day to work against five bogeys.
Hermanson did get as low as 1-under with a birdie on the difficult par-4 14th before holding on down the stretch despite bogeys on the last three holes.
Sam Vannalith (-6) won the Tettelbach Net Division. Hilario, even-par, was second while Patrick Griffin (+1) and Steve Wagner (+1) shared third. Eric Bleile (+2) was fifth.
In the Siderowf Net Division Kevin Pasternack (-1) finished one shot in front of Tom Derienzo, Erin Kinney, and Bob Fliss all of whom tied for second at even-par. Carl Musante was fifth at 2-over.
