Goshen, Connecticut (June 22-25, 2021) – The 15th Senior Match Play will be contested at Torrington Country Club this week. Play will begin with one round of stroke play qualifying on Tuesday. Following the completion of play on Tuesday the field of 123 will be cut to 32 for the beginning of match play on Wednesday. Day two will feature the Round of 32 and Round of 16, on Thursday the quarterfinals and semifinals will be contested setting the stage for Friday’s 18 hole championship match.

The Senior Match Play is one of 19 championships conducted by the Connecticut State Golf Association. The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 60 Championships, Qualifiers, and One Day Tournaments throughout the year.
