(September 10, 2024) – Chris Flowers, Frank Geiger, and Bill Hermanson all captured titles at the Country Club of Waterbury One Day Tournament sponsored by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.

In the Tettelbach Gross Division, Chris Flowers fired a 1 over 70 to earn a three-shot victory over Uttdom Sowinkong and Ben Palazzo both of whom finished 4 over.

Results

Flowers put together a strong performance on a gorgeous early September day signing a scorecard that included four birdies and five bogeys. The birdies for Flowers dropped on Nos. 2, 9, 11, and 13.

The top five was rounded out by Conor Deasy (+6) and Sathscia Sowinkong (+7).

Sharing the title in the Siderowf Gross Division with 4 over 73s were Frank Geiger and Bill Hermanson.

Geiger played his way to the top of the leaderboard thanks to his three birdies that helped offset seven bogeys. On the front nine Geiger birdied the par-4 fourth before adding birdies on Nos. 12 and 16 on the back nine.

Hermanson got off to a slow start and after eight holes he was 4 over. Looking to stay in the mix the recent 28th Super Senior Championship winner birdied Nos. 9 and 10 to move back to 2 over. Hermanson did drop two more shots on the way to the house but when the dust settled he had done enough to earn a share of the title.

Following Geiger and Hermanson were Craig Platt and Eric Litke at 5 over in a tie for third while Dave Jones and Vin Capece shared fifth at 6 over.

In the Tettelbach Net Division Walter Keuchkerian II finished 2 under to earn the top spot. Three shots further back in a tie for second at 1 over were Uttdom Sowinkong, Deasy, Glenn Pelt, Jr., Ben Palazzo, and Jon Holly.

Leading the way in the Siderowf Net Division was a 2-under Mike Hilton followed by runner-up Russ Bilodeau (-1). Geiger and Rob D’Agostino tied for third at even par with Litke and Mike Kraczkowsky (+1) sharing fifth.
