Goshen, Connecticut (September 18, 2024) – Angelina Kim and Kennedy Swedick battled rainy conditions at Torrington Country Club to fire a 6-under 66 and earn a spot in the 9th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball. The 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball will be contested from May 11-15, 2024.
The duo of AJGA standouts were even-par through six holes before Kennedy Swedick, a class of 2024 University of Virginia commit, caught fire birdieing six holes between Nos. 7-16 to push the tandem to 6-under.
Although Angelina Kim, who recorded two AJGA top 10 finishes in August, didn’t card a birdie during her round she did convert a number of key pars to keep the momentum rolling including three crucial ones on Nos. 10, 15, and 18 while Swedick was on her birdie barrage.
The first alternate spot was earned by Lia Huang and Renna Chang with a 3-under 69 while Isabel Brozena and Lucy Wang signed for a 2-under 70 to finish as the second alternates.
