West Hartford, Connecticut (October 10, 2023) – After day one of the 89th Tri-State Matches at Wampanoag Country Club Massachusetts and Connecticut are in a near dead heat. With just one round of four-ball matches slated for Wednesday morning Massachusetts will carry a 49-48 lead into the final day with Rhode Island in third place sitting at 23 points.

Heading into this year’s competition Massachusetts has won 17 of the last 18 Tri-State Matches. However, Connecticut now has a chance to snap that streak and add to their series leading win total of 40.
