Salvador, Toscano Win CC of Farmington One Day

Farmington, Connecticut (May 2, 2022) – On a difficult day for scoring Anthony Salvador and Mark Toscano earned victories at the Country Club of Farmington One Day Tournament presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.

Salvador, the 2020 Al Acker One Day Championship winner, carded a 1-over 72 to win the Tettelbach Open Division. It was an up and down day for Salvador as he rolled in four birdies but also had five bogeys. Salvador’s final birdie, which proved to be the winner, came on the difficult par-4 17th hole.

Conor Deasy was second at 2-over, Rammi Hazzaa finished 3-over in third while Scott Johnson, Ryan Wessendorf, and Dave Kennedy tied for fourth at 5-over.

Mark Toscano is off to a strong start this season finishing inside the top-10 in each of the first two One Day events. On Monday he did even better earning the Siderowf Gross Division title with a 4-over 74 that put him one shot in front of Bruce Kraczkowsky and Richard Shildneck both of whom finished 5-over in a tie for second.

Toscano got off to a quick start with birdies on Nos. 3 and 4 before holding on for the remainder of the day. When the dust settled Toscano’s scorecard included three birdies and seven bogeys.

The top-five in the Siderowf Gross Division was rounded out by Roger Haggerty in fourth at 6-over and a group of five players in a tie for fifth at 7-over. That group included Glen Burr, Stuart Goldstein, Tom Cutone, Ray Underwood, and Tom Brett.

In the Tettelbach Gross Division Ryan Wessendorf (-4) captured the title finishing one shot in front of runner-up William Kuntz (-3). Deasy, Salvador, and Mario Argentino shared third at 2-under to round out the top five.

Toscano claimed the title as well in the Siderowf Net Division posting a 2-under tally that put him two shots in front of William McCormack and Tommy Larkum who finished 2-under in a tie for second. Alden Foss (-1) was fourth while Jack Bracken and Kraczkowsky shared fifth at even-par.
