(June 17, 2026) – After Annie Dai’s win at the 2nd Connecticut Girls’ Junior in 2023, the CSGA returns to Fairview Farms Golf Course from June 23-25 seeking out the champion of the 5th Connecticut Girls’ Junior.
With a field of 22 players set to compete, nine girls return from last year’s field, including runner-up Elle Reid, third-place finisher Nina Dahl, and fourth-place finisher Sadie Lee.
Additional players to watch include 58th Connecticut Women’s Amateur champion and Georgia Southern commit Arabella Lopez, as well as 3rd Connecticut Girls Junior Amateur runner-up and Emory University commit Juyeon Paek. Both players will tee off at 9:10 a.m. in the final group of day one. Meanwhile, the first group of the day will tee off at 8 a.m.
This year’s players can anticipate a different format. For the first time in event history, the Connecticut Girls’ Junior will feature match play.
Following one round of stroke-play qualifying on Tuesday, eight players will move on to Wednesday, which will consist of the quarterfinals as well as the semifinals. Everything will set the stage for Thursday’s championship match to determine the winner of the 5th Connecticut Girls’ Junior Amateur.
Once again, the winner of the Connecticut Girls’ Junior will earn an exemption in the U.S. Girls’ Junior. The 2026 championship will be played at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina, from July 13-18.
