For any senior in high school who is looking to continue their education at a university, the fall is an anxious time. There are visits to be made and applications to be completed, not to mention the pressure of first semester grades. Of course, the acceptance letter in the mail to the school of their choice makes all of the hard work and long hours in the library worth it.
The prospect of playing collegiate golf is no different, and for a lucky few, it represents the culmination of a junior golf career filled with highs and lows. Take a closer look into any junior golfer’s resume, and buried beneath their vast array of accomplishments you will find countless hours of practice, long car rides, and dedicated parents or mentors who helped make it all possible.
For nine of Connecticut’s best junior golfers, the long road of junior golf ended on November 13th, when they signed their National Letter of Intent to play collegiate golf. There are two different dates where players are permitted to sign on the dotted line. The November 13th date is referred to as the “early” signing date, and April 16th, 2014 represents the “regular” signing date for all unsigned seniors.
Listed below are Connecticut’s junior golfers who have officially signed Letters of Intent, entering college in the Fall of 2014.
