Easton, CT (August 31, 2026) – With four teams making the cut at the qualifiers at Connecticut Golf Club, Vaughn/Sutton and Ma/Greyserman in the men’s division and Daughan/Shepard and Zhong/Zhong head to Erin, Wisconsin for the 12th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball next May.
Matt Vaughn and Glendon Sutton finished their round 6-under with an impressive eight birdies- five from Glendon and three from Matt. The duo marked a stretch of five birdies on Nos. 12-16, including two par fives, two par fours, and a par three.
Hadley Ma and Reed Greyserman tied the lead at 6-under to make the cut. Greyserman sank five birdie putts to lead the duo to the top along with Ma’s birdie on par-four hole No. 2. Thanks to the teamwork and skills of the two players, not a single bogey was taken on their official score.
The alternate teams include Tyler Cline/Coleman Meitner and Zach Glassman/Todd Larson.
On the women’s side, Charlotte Daughan and Colleen Shepard finished their round with 6 birdies, five of which were marked by Daughan. They ended their round 4-under taking the lead.
Trailing one stroke behind, Ava and Emma Zhong finished 3-under. With each player making two birdies, they worked together to bring their duo to the top, only taking a single bogey in their official scorecard.
The alternate teams for the women’s division include Mia Cepeda/Ava Cepeda, and Samantha Galantini/Natalie Spiska.
The 12th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball will take place at Erin Hills GC on May 22-26, 2027. The four teams will travel to take on the challenge of remaining at the top of the leaderboard.
