(July 18, 2025) – GSB (Guilford Savings Bank) the “Official Banking Partner of the Connecticut State Golf Association” and the presenting sponsor of the 91st Connecticut Open, is proud to announce that it has changed its name to Ascend Bank effective July 1, 2025.
The timing of the rebrand coincides with the merger with Eastern CT Savings Bank which also became official on July 1, 2025.
The new name embodies the bank’s commitment to helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial heights across Connecticut. And it marks the next chapter in GSB’s 150-year legacy of trust, service, and community-focused banking that continues stronger than ever.
