Sherman, Connecticut (June 18, 2025) – In a 3-for-1 playoff Juyeon Paek (Cheshire, CT) survived and as a result punched her ticket into the field of the 76th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship.
Paek, the runner-up in last year’s Connecticut Girls’ Junior, earned her way into the playoff with a 2-under 70 that included three birdies and just one bogey. The birdies for Paek came on Nos. 2, 3, and 14.
In the playoff, Paek bested Maddie Chang (New York, NY) and Nina Choe (New York, NY). When all was said and done, Chang earned the first alternate spot while Choe finished as the second alternate.
The 76th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship will be played from July 14-19 at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
