Simsbury, Connecticut (April 29, 2025) – On a warm late April day, Cody Paladino and Dean Godek captured the titles at the Hop Meadow Country Club One Day Tournament presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.
In the Tettelbach Gross Division Cody Paladino played a stellar round of golf firing a 7 under 65 to earn a comfortable six-shot victory over three players at 1 under.
Paladino got off to a quick start birdieing five of his first six holes on his way to a flawless 6 under 30 on the front nine. Following a birdie on No. 10 to move to 7 under the five-time reigning Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year did falter briefly with bogeys on Nos. 11 and 13 before rebounding with birdies on the final two holes.
The second place group included Kyle Bilodeau, Keven Slyne, and Connor Brown. Steven Langlois and Bret Lawrence shared fifth at 2 over.
Meanwhile, in the Siderowf Gross Division Dean Godek earned his second title in as many events. Even-par after 12 holes, Godek birdied Nos. 13 and 17 and following a par on the closing par-5 posted a 2-under 70 that was good enough to earn a one-shot triumph.
Dave Jones was the only other player to finish under par taking second place with a 1 under showing. Chris Maxwell took third at 1 over while Jim Patterson, Stuart Goldstein, and Bill Hermanson all shared fourth at 2 over.
Leading the way in the Tettelbach Net Division were Kurt Swenor and Teddy Zentek at 3 under, Brown took third at 2 under with Lawrence and Jason Morrow each finishing 1 under to place fourth.
In the Siderowf Net Division Peter Czuchra and Rob D’Agostino tied for first place at 3 under and one shot in front of runner-up Tim Tenero (-2). Seven players finished even-par to share fourth place and round out the top five. The group includes Andrew Csejka, Bill Wininger, Todd Whitehouse, Bob Fliss, Godek, Maxwell, and Robert Papenguth.
