Longo-Bleile, Jones-Susi Winners at Manchester Four-Ball One Day

Manchester, Conneticut (September 19, 2022) – With plenty of birdies to go around the teams of Jason Longo/Eric Bleile and Dave Jones/Tony Susi captured the titles at the Manchester Country Club Four-Ball One Day Tournament presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.

Longo and Bleile cruised to a victory in the Tettelbach Open Division with a spectacular 12-under 60 that left them three shots clear of the runners-up Bill Regan and Anthony Guerrera (-9).

Results

Fresh off his appearance in the U.S. Mid-Amateur last week Longo was sharp throughout rolling in 10 birdies on his way to a 7-under 65. Longo’s round was highlighted by a run of seven consecutive birdies from Nos. 7-14.

Bleile, who played in the 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur, played a steady round converting two of his three birdies on holes where Longo parred.

Chris Maxwell/Jason Goshdigian were third at 8-under, Ryan Sember/Jamie Sheltman were fourth at 7-under while Keith Salamon/David Kramer placed fifth at 5-under.

In the Siderowf Gross Division the tandem of Dave Jones/Tony Susi carded a 7-under 65 to finish two shots in front of second place finishers Dennis Bongiovanni/Michael Serio (-5). Jones, the winner of five One Day Tournaments this season including three in September, recorded five birdies while Susi contributed one birdie to go along with a number of clutch pars.

Mark Vasington/Joseph Romanelli, Bill Hermanson/Dave Szewczul, and Jeff Dolin/Derek Waddington shared third at 4-under.

The Tettelbach Net Division title was won by Salamon/Kramer at 12-under, John Carrano/Mario Argentino and Dave Leroy/Tom Ieronimo shared third at 10-under with Longo/Bleile finishing fifth at 8-under.

In the Siderowf Net Division Mike Lazzara/Peter Czuchra emerged victorious with a 9-under tally. Rick Clough/Bob Kelley (-6) were second while eight teams shared third at 5-under. The group included Ted and Steve Kieltyka, Bruce Kraczkowsky/Jack Bracken, Jay Nickse/Harold Elston, Mike Kraczkowsky/Henry Wrotniak, Tony and Frank DaSilva, Kevin Pasternack/Dennis Tracey,  Jones/Susi, and Bongiovanni/Serio.
