His first of six birdies came on the par-5 fifth as he played Nos. 5-17 in 6-under. His additional birdies fell on Nos. 7, 8, 14, 16, and 17.
Mark Eells and Steven Ferraro tied for second at 2-over while Steve Joyner, Uttdom Sowinkong, and Walter Keuchkerian II all finished 3-over to tie for fourth.
In the Siderowf Gross Division Dave Jones recorded seven birdies and just two bogeys on his way to a 5-under 66 and a three-shot victory over Keith Salamon (-2).
Jones, the two-time reigning Dick Siderowf One Day Player of the Year, birdied the second before bogeying the third however it was his golf from Nos. 6-14 that propeled him to his first title of the year. Jones began his surge with birdies on Nos. 6 and 7 as he made the turn in 2-under 34. Following a par on the 10th Jones rattled off four birdies in a row to get as low as 6-under before dropping a shot on No. 15.
Unfazed by the bogey Jones settled down and parred his way to the house and to the title.
James Lawler and Mark Vasington tied for third at even-par while Rick Lawrence, Tom Cutone, Richard Stevens, and Bill Hermanson finished in a tie for fifth at 1-over.
