Manchester, Connecticut (July 22, 2024) – The team of Nick Hynes/Matthew Shea captured the Tettelbach Gross Division while three teams shared the Siderowf Gross Division at the Manchester Country Club Four-Ball One Day Tournament sponsored by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.
The duo of Nick Hynes and Matthew Shea put together a stellar bogey-free 11 under 61 to pull out an impressive three-stroke victory in the Tettelbach Gross Division. Following a modest 2 under through six holes start Hynes and Shea caught fire and played the last 12 holes in 9 under.
Second place was taken by Kyle Bilodeau/Drew Brennan at 8 under, Sathscia Sokinkong/Uttdom Sowinkong were 7 under in third, Mark Eells/Michael Whitmore took fourth at 5 under while Chris Flowers/Michael Abbott and Christopher Sica/Joe Serrantino shared fifth at 5 under.
The teams of John Herbert/Brett Franklin, Dave Jones/Tony Susi, and Gary Mattesen/Dean Godek shared the Siderowf Gross Division titles with 6 under 66s.
Herbert and Franklin did all of their work on the back nine. Following a bogey on No. 9 to drop to even par they played a flawless 6 under back nine.
Jones and Susi, past winners of the Manchester CC Four-Ball One Day Tournament, were a strong 2 under on the front nine before playing the back nine in 4 under. They concluded their round with birdies on each of the last two holes.
Mattesen and Godek played a bogey-free round of golf recording their six birdies between Nos. 5-15.
In the Tettelbach Net Division Hynes/Shea (-12) took the title while Jason Dieterle/John Varca (-9) were second. Third place was shared by Sokinkong/Sokinkong and Dave Goshdigian/Andrew Redman at 7 under with Walter Keuchkerian II/Josh Green and Jadon Johanson/Glenn Johanson sharing fifth at 6 under.
The Siderowf Net Division title went to Vincent Grillo/Mike Kraczkowsky (-8) who finished one shot in front of Keith Salamon/Kevin Ringuette (-7). Six teams shared third at 6 under to round out the top five. The teams included Herbert/Franklin, Jones/Susi, Russ Bilodeau/Dino Peruccio, Mattesen/Godek, Robert Stawicki/Rich Sutcliffe, and Gordon Daring/Don Zysk.
