Indian Hill CC Superintendent Marc Weston Re-elected to GCSAA Board of Directors

(February 18, 2022) – Marc E. Weston, certified golf course superintendent (CGCS) at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington was re-elected to the board of directors for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) at the association’s annual meeting in San Diego on February 10.

GCSAA is a leading golf organization in the United States. Its focus is on golf course management, and since 1926 GCSAA has been the top professional association for the men and women who manage golf courses in the U.S. and worldwide. From its headquarters in Lawrence, Kansas, the association provides education, information, and representation to more than 19,000 members in more than 78 countries.

The board sets the strategic direction for the association as it strives to serve its members, advance the profession and enhance the growth, enjoyment, and vitality of the game of golf.

A 24-year GCSAA member, Weston is a member and past president of the Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents. He also previously served on GCSAA’s Certification Committee, Scholarship Committee, Environmental Awards, and Education Task Group. He is also a delegate and Grassroots Ambassador.

Weston, who will be in his second year on the association’s board, has an associate’s degree in horticulture from the University of Connecticut and a Turfgrass Certificate from the University of Massachusetts.
