Competing with many of golf’s all time greats, Connecticut’s Bobby Gage fired 71-71 and stands tied for 14th after two rounds of the US Senior Open.

Bobby Gage grew up in Winsted in northwestern Connecticut and learned the game at Green Woods Country Club under the tutelage of Stan Staszowski. After an All-American career at East Tennessee State University Gage turned professional and has competed throughout the world for the past 25 years.

Gage has played in 143 Web.com tournaments and 28 PGA Tour championships. In 1998 he was a full time member of the PGA Tour. He turned 50 in 2015 and promptly qualified for his first Champions Tour event, the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, New York.

A regular participant in the CSGA’s Connecticut Open, Gage recently finished tied for eight place at Woodway Country Club in the 2016 Open two weeks ago. When not competing Gage has served as the teaching professional at Candlewood Valley Country Club in New Milford, Connecticut.

Network television coverage of the Senior Open begins at 2:00PM EST Saturday and Sunday on FOX.
