Delucia, Brett Winners at Indian Hill CC One Day

Newington, Connecticut (May 17, 2022) – Jeff Delucia and Tom Brett were winners on a picture perfect spring day at the Indian Hill Country Club One Day Tournament presented by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop.

Delucia won the Tettelbach Open Division with an even-par 72 to win by a single stroke over Bret Lawrence (+1). The 30-year-old jump started his round with a birdie on the opening hole setting the stage for a four birdie, four bogey day. Delucia’s additional birdies came on Nos. 10, 14, and 16.

Shaun Sullivan (+2) was third while Chad Lavinio and Matt Quinn shared fourth at 4-over.

In the Siderowf Gross Division Brett signed for an even-par 72 that included two birdies and two bogeys. For Brett, his birdies came on Nos. 7 and 8.

Final Results

Mark Durand was 1-over in second, Kevin Foster and Tom Cutone shared third at 3-over, one shot further back in a tie for fifth at 4-over were Rick Lawrence, Ray Underwood, and Tony Susi.

Leading the way in the Tettelbach Net Division was Delucia at 3-under, Sullivan was second at even-par, in a tie for third were Rudy Hermstadt and Glenn Pelt, Jr. at 1-over while Lawrence, Mark Brooks and Stephen Kirk all were 2-over in a tie for fifth.

The top-five of the Siderowf Net Division was comprised of Durand and Brett sharing the title at 2-under, David Foster was third at even-par with William McGinn, Cutone, and Edgard Sevilla in a tie for fourth at 1-over.

The highlight of the day came from Jay Dempsey who remarkably went eagle-ace on Nos. 4 and 5. On back-to-back swings he jarred an eagle on the par-4 4th from 50 yards out and then on the next hole he dropped in a hole-in-one using a 7 iron off the tee on the 162 yard downhill and downwind hole. Dempsey’s last hole-in-one came more than 15 years ago in the Russell C. Palmer Cup when it was played at Hartford Golf Club.
