Goshen, Connecticut (June 10-14, 2024) – The 122nd Connecticut Amateur presented by Middlesex Health will be contested this week at Torrington Country Club. Play will begin with two days of stroke play qualifying on Monday and Tuesday. Following the completion of play on Tuesday the field will be cut to 32 for the beginning of match play on Wednesday. Day three of the Connecticut Amateur will feature the Round of 32 and Round of 16. On Thursday the quarterfinals and semifinals will be contested setting the stage for Friday’s 36-hole championship match.

The Connecticut Amateur presented by Middlesex Health is one of 20 championships conducted by the Connecticut State Golf Association. The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 60 Championships, Qualifiers, and One Day Tournaments throughout the year.
