Chris Maxwell

  • Number of Tournaments: 10
  • Wins: 1 (Glastonbury Hills CC)

Question & Answer with Chris Maxwell:

CSGA: What does winning Player of the Year mean to you?

Chris Maxwell: It feels nice to be able to play and be consistent. I like to play in the One Days rather than most of the other events. I feel like I am a better One Day player than some of the other events

CSGA: What do you enjoy about the One Day events?

Chris Maxwell: It is more casual, it is a little more fun, and I get to play with a bunch of my buddies. It is nice.

Tettelbach Net Division

Mario Argentino

  • Points: 303.75
  • Number of Tournaments: 15
  • Wins: 1 (CC of Farmington)

Question & Answer with Mario Argentino:

CSGA: What does winning Player of the Year mean to you?

Mario Argentino: Winning Player of the Year felt awesome but having the opportunity to compete and get out and play is a win in its own right.

CSGA: What is your best memory of the 2021 season?

Mario Argentino: My best memories are just playing with friends. We all lead busy lives between work and family so getting together and playing the One Day events means a lot. The best part is having a chance to play courses we may not otherwise have the opportunity to play.

Siderowf Gross Division

Dave Jones

  • Points: 756.75
  • Number of Tournaments: 12
  • Wins: 5 (Stonington CC, Glastonbury Hills CC, Indian Hills CC, Simsbury Farms GC, Hop Meadow CC)

Question & Answer with Dave Jones:

CSGA: Your season got off to a quick start. What was the highlight of your early season success?

Dave Jones: At Stonington CC, the second event of the season it was a cold day. I think the temperature was in the high 40s or low 50s and the wind was blowing. I didn’t have any expectations at all and I think I went out and shot 67 and that gave me a lot of confidence for the rest of the year. It was such a good start.

CSGA: What is your favorite part of the One Day Series?

Dave Jones: The series is really great. We go to some of the best courses in the state and we really look forward to it. I can say for certain that all the players look forward to playing in those tournaments. We are very lucky that the CSGA runs those events. I think the most nervous I get is just trying to sign up the week before. It is 6:59 in the morning and if you miss click by one you won’t even get a tee time.

  • Number of Tournaments: 13
  • Wins: 1 (Wampanoag CC)
